The new Gloves from Sealskinz continues the tradition that the Company has developed for good quality waterproof, breathable and comfortable cycling apparel. These gloves have been specially designed and developed for colder conditions using the highly breathable and very latest Porelle SXT technology membrane. This of course ensures maximum comfort, minimum internal moisture build-up and thermal insulation. In heavy rain they do in fact keep out the water whilst allowing your hands to breathe, so preventing that feeling that some waterproof gloves give of being as wet inside the glove as outside. They are well insulated and stretchable, providing a good level of comfort and warmth on really cold days. Warm to such an extent that they could be too warm on summer days, even though they are breathable but remember they are Winter gloves and as such perform very well indeed.

There is a super soft lining inside of the gloves adding to the feeling of comfort but not creating a level of thickness that prevents sufficient “feel” on the handlebars and brake levers, a balance which has to be right. The exterior of the palm has a grip surface with pressure point padding whilst the outside of the upper glove is covered in a semi-absorbent material to wipe the face, nose etc, which is so useful. The first two fingers and the thumb of each glove have double layered finger grips on their tips where traditionally gloves wear to the point of being threadbare … a nice touch. Finally there are substantial Velcro cuff fasteners for extra warmth .

These are well finished and carefully thought through winter gloves with all of the necessary features and effective comfortable breathable, waterproof qualities that we come to expect from Sealskinz. They are light and stretchable with non of the thick and heavy feeling attached to some winter gloves. Sealskinz have managed to not compromise on the effectiveness of these gloves despite the airy quality which they have and this means that they are suitable to be worn on any cooler days throughout the season.
